Our Story
Iqra Atelier began with one bench, one jeweller, and a stubborn objection to jewelry made to be replaced.

How it started
It started as a small bench in Lahore, taking commissions for the kind of pieces people intended to keep — engagement rings, a mother's bangles reset for a daughter, the earrings someone wears every day for a decade.
The shop that grew out of it is deliberately small. We work in short runs, often under ten of a design, because everything is set and finished by hand and because we would rather make a hundred pieces properly than a thousand approximately.
Who actually makes it
Our jewelry is set in our own workshop in Lahore. The kundan work is done by a family in Hyderabad who have been setting stones the same way for three generations. The stoneware is thrown by a potter in Lahore. The brass is beaten by hand in Peshawar.
None of these are anonymous suppliers to us, and we pay them properly rather than at the lowest number they would accept. It is part of why a piece costs what it does.
How we work
- We say what a piece actually is. Most of the jewelry is a gold- or silver-tone setting with cubic zirconia, crystal or freshwater pearl, and the product page says so. Nothing here is sold as solid gold that is not.
- Priced for wearing. These are pieces to put on for a wedding, a dinner, a Tuesday — not an investment. We would rather you owned three you reach for than one you are afraid of.
- Photographed as packed. Every order is photographed before it is sealed, so there is a record of exactly what left us.
- Reviews stay honest. We publish the four-star ones too. A wall of nothing but perfect scores tells a customer nothing.
Come and see
The studio at Main Boulevard, Gulberg III, Lahore is open Mon – Sat, 11am – 8pm PKT. You are welcome to try things on, ask what a stone actually is, or bring in something old to be reset. It is easier to choose a ring in person than from a photograph, and we would rather you got it right.
