Privacy Policy

We collect what we need to send you your order and nothing more. We do not sell your data.

What we collect

  • To fulfil an order: your name, delivery address, phone number and email address.
  • If you contact us: whatever you choose to tell us in the message, plus the address you sent it from.
  • If you subscribe: your email address only.
  • Your bag: stored in your own browser, on your own device. It is not sent to us until you place an order.

We never see or store your full card details. When card payment is enabled, those go directly to the payment provider.

Why we collect it

  • To take payment, pack your order and get it delivered.
  • To tell you what is happening with your order, by WhatsApp or email.
  • To handle returns, exchanges and repairs.
  • To send you the Atelier Letter, if and only if you asked for it. Every edition has an unsubscribe link.
  • To meet our tax and accounting obligations, which is why order records are kept even after you ask us to delete other data.

Who we share it with

Only the parties who need it to complete what you asked for, and only the minimum they need:

  • Couriers — your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver and call ahead.
  • Payment providers — the payment details you enter with them directly, plus the order amount and reference.
  • Our hosting provider — which processes page requests in order to serve the site.
  • Google and Meta — but only if you agree to it. See cookies and tracking below for what each one receives and how to change your mind.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.

Cookies and tracking

Nothing loads until you say yes. The first time you visit, we ask. Until you choose — and if you choose no — none of the scripts below are requested at all, so no cookie is set and nothing is sent to anyone. They are not loaded and then switched off; they are never loaded.

What we would like to load, and why

  • Measurement — Google Analytics 4. Which pages are visited, which pieces are looked at, and which of them end in an order. Google receives your IP address, your browser and device type, and the pages you view on this site. We see it aggregated: it tells us that a piece was viewed 200 times, not who viewed it.
  • Advertising — the Meta Pixel. Lets us show our pieces on Instagram and Facebook to people with similar interests, and tells us which of those ads led to an order. Meta receives your IP address and the same page and product activity, and can match it to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one.

These are separate choices. Agreeing to measurement does not agree to advertising, and you can allow one without the other.

Both set their own cookies in your browser once loaded, and both are governed by their own privacy policies rather than this one — Google's and Meta's. Both companies are outside Pakistan, so agreeing means your activity on this site is processed abroad.

Changing your mind

Use — it is also at the bottom of every page — to see your current choice and change it. Withdrawing takes effect immediately: the scripts stop being loaded, and nothing further is sent. Cookies those scripts already set stay in your browser until you clear them, which you can do from your browser's settings at any time; we cannot delete them for you.

What we use regardless

  • Your bag — kept in your browser's local storage, which is not a cookie and is never transmitted to us on its own. Without it your bag would empty every time you changed page.
  • Your cookie choice itself — stored the same way, so we do not have to ask again on every visit.
  • A sign-in cookie — only if you are a member of Iqra Atelier staff signing in to the admin area. Never set for customers.

These three are what the law calls strictly necessary: they do only what you asked for, they are not shared with anyone, and there is no way to offer the site without them. Clearing your browser data removes all of them.

How long we keep it

  • Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Enquiries: up to two years, so we have context if you come back to us.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

Write to hello@iqraatelier.pk and you can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete what we are not legally obliged to keep, or stop sending you marketing. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge you for it.

For cookies and tracking specifically, you do not need to write to us: changes your choice yourself, immediately.
